Estela’s Escuelas: Chelsea visits El Dorado

dorado high school to congratulate students. in today’s estela’s escuelas chelsea clinton was in the borderland today to meet students after they won a national community project contest. the barnes and noble’s contest looked for unique community-focused project ideas. art teacher candace printz came up with the idea to partner with community groups to collect and sort trash. students will then work with local artists to design and create art out of the junk. one student asked the daughter of hillary clinton– how to inspire parents to make a change. chelsea clinton: “it’s always easier to have a conversation with specifics. do what do you want to inspire your parents to do. do you want them to recycle? do you want to inspire your parents to think about the corporate behavior of the companies where they are buying products? ” the school is receiving a one thousand dollar barnes and noble gift card for winning the competition. proceeds from the artwork with go to various community groups that helped collect the trash. today kicks off the 2016 stem plus
