Chihuahuas beat Reno, 8-6, for first win of season

active the chihuahuas season got off to a rough start last night. they were blanked 8-nothing by reno. good news…it was only one game. game two of the season tonight. at reno again…that’s how you watch a baseball game. game could not have started much worse for el paso… down 2-0 in the first, brett hayes with a single to center. that’ll score two more …it’s 4-0 reno… dogs do get the out at second though to end the inning. finally the chihuahuas get some offense…down 4-1 in the third…hunter renfroe the base knock and uh oh! ball gets by the left fielder. three runs score…. we’re all knotted at four a piece. same inning it’s newcomer james loney ..just signed yesterday….loney singles to center… dogs take the lead 5 to 4. right now, the dogs lead it 8-6 in the 8th. utep football losing
