Give ‘Em Five: Price’s Creameries hands out $205,000 to local schools, organizations
Strengthening minds, bodies and our community.
Today Price’s Creameries put $205,000 behind that message. Several schools got some of that money during the this morning’s breakfast at the Marriott.
It was a festive morning as Price’s Creameries’ largest outreach program “Give ‘Em Five” passed out checks.
Every time you buy Price’s milk, ice cream and orange juice, organizations and schools benefit.
The Assistance League’s Operation School Bell got $10,000 and the Mini-Dribblers program “Basketball in the Barrio” also got $10,000.
Loma Linda Elementary and Horizon Heights were some of the schools that got $4,000 or $5,000.
Price’s also gives money directly to schools through the Give ‘Em Five, cap and ice cream lid collection — each is worth five cents.
Schools allocate that money to buy supplies and equipment.
To date, Price’s Creameries has given back almost $5 million to the community’s Give ‘Em Five fund.
