St. Mark’s holding fundraiser for 3D carving machine

St. Mark’s is asking the community to help them raise funds for a new 3D carving machine.

Carvey is a new desktop 3D carving machine for making ideas into real objects.

The school wants to use the machine to help their students in the process of STEM education.

“We’re hoping to raise funds for a Carvey, extra bits, wood and Vectric Software,” Veronica Herron, the computer lab teacher at St. Mark’s said on their fundraiser website. “Our curriculum will be to design a product, create it and display it so students can see what they can accomplish all on their own. The process is collaborative, sharing ideas, plans and designs in the cloud. We believe this technology will be a part of our students’ future, whether in Medicine, Engineering or Art.”
