Police say man assaulted victim with a shovel during early morning fight
Police say a 41-year-old man assaulted a 52-year-old man with a shovel early Friday morning at the apartment complex at 8750 Norton.
The 41-year-old also displayed a handgun during the altercation, but didn’t fire the weapon, police said.
Police are not releasing the suspect’s name or photo at this time. Charges are pending.
Emergency dispatchers confirm one person was taken to UMC with serious, traumatic injuries. A second patient was also taken to UMC with “non-trauma” injuries. It is unclear if that second patient is the suspect.
