Fan at Chihuahuas game reportedly hit by bat, game temporarily stopped

EL PASO, Texas – A fan at Southwest University Park was hit by a bat during a game between the Chihuahuas and the Reno Aces Friday night, according to multiple reports.

Hector Sanchez of the Chihuahuas lost his bat on the swing and the bat went into the stands near the third base dugout.

The game was temporarily halted, and a stretcher was brought out for the fan, according to eyewitnesses.

The Chihuahuas released the following statement regarding the incident: “While we can’t comment about the personal health matters of a guest, we certainly wish the individual the very best and will be in touch with her and her family.”
