ABC-7 First Alert: Cold, Windy & Wet

Cold air has rushed into the Borderland behind a cold front. Afternoon highs today will be in the mid and upper 40’s, the coldest air since early February.

Winds will be gusty today making it feel even cooler. Wind chills in the lower 40’s this afternoon. Winds gusting to 30 mph, and up to 45 mph in west El Paso.

Rain showers will continue to develop off and on throughout Saturday into early Sunday. It will be a wet day, especially for El Paso.

Snow levels will start out around 8,000′ and drop to 5,500′ Saturday. The Sacramento Mountains could accumulation 4-8″.

Improved weather expected later Sunday.
