Man taken by ambulance after car hits fire department pickup truck

A man was taken to a local hospital after a El Paso Fire Department pickup truck was struck by a car Sunday morning on southbound Mesa at Executive.

The crash happened around 10:00 a.m.

The man, presumed to be the driver of the car which hit the truck, was taken by ambulance. It does not appear the firefighters in the pickup truck were injured.

The presumed driver’s condition is unknown at this time. He did appear to be standing with the help of paramedics before being laid down on a stretcher.
