Police arrest two El Paso men, accuse them of driving drunk and speeding

Police arrested two men suspected of driving drunk and speeding Wednesday morning.

Isaac Silvestre, 23, was driving a Saturn northbound in the 1400 block of Airway. Police pulled him over because he was allegedly traveling 47 miles per hour in a posted 35 mph zone.

Officers arrested Silvestre shortly before 2 a.m. because he was allegedly driving drunk. Silvestre’s blood alcohol content was .15, nearly twice the legal limit, police said.

About an hour later, police arrested 36-year-old Alberto Pena in the 8200 block of Montana. The man was driving a Dodge pickup and was allegedly traveling 63 miles per hour in a posted 45 mph zone, police said.

Both men were booked into the El Paso County Detention Center.
