Deputies investigating drug-related shooting arrest wanted fugitive

Sheriffs deputies investigating a drug-related shooting in Montana Vista arrested a wanted fugitive.

Deputies were dispatched to the 14000 block of Connolly in reference to a shooting February 7, 2017. Investigators determined the shooting was drug related and were able to secure a search warrant for the residence.

On February 9, 2017, deputies executed the search warrant and arrested Angel Dominguez on three outstanding criminal drug warrants.

Investigators allegedly seized street level quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription pain medication from the residence.

Dominguez was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unauthorized use of a Vehicle. His bonds total more than $103,000.

The narcotics and shooting investigation is ongoing and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 915-772-8665.
