UPDATE: Two people in custody after Northeast El Paso stabbing

Police say two men are in custody after a stabbing in Northeast El Paso Sunday.

The stabbing happened at an apartment complex on the 9400 block of Diana Drive shortly before 2 A.M. Sunday morning. ABC-7 crews on scene saw police gathering evidence at the North Mountain Village apartments.

Police say a fight happened inside the complex when someone pulled out a knife. It’s unclear what exactly happened, but police say a man in his 20’s was stabbed and taken to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

When officers arrived on scene, the men involved in the fight fled the area, but police were able to locate the men shortly after. Police say two men are in custody, but their names will not be released until the booking process is complete.

The Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating and police say more arrests will likely be made.
