Students celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday during ‘Read Across America’ event

I had the privilege of meeting a beautiful group of teachers and staff at O’Shea Keleher Elementary Tuesday afternoon for Read Across America.

They invited me to help them celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. It’s actually March 2nd, but because of testing underway that week, the event was pushed to February 21st.

I read to children in the Kinder Collaborative and fifth graders who will soon be graduating from O’Shea.

The children were very well behaved and inquisitive as I read Dr. Seuss’s Oh The Places You’ll Go.

I suggest you give this book to anyone who is graduating this year. It has a powerful message!

To the fifth graders on their way to middle school: I encourage you to embrace the journey and see every opportunity as a MAGICAL MOMENT to learn and grow!
