Toddler killed in NE El Paso crash

A 2-year-old toddler was killed in a crash in Northeast El Paso Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Police did not release the child’s gender.

The investigation is underway on the 5200 block of Viceroy, near Rushing. Police said investigators blocked off the parking lot at the Howdy’s at McCombs and U.S. 54 because it is related to the investigation on Viceroy.

A woman who said she witnessed the incident told ABC-7 a man ran over his daughter with his pickup. The woman said she heard the man screaming for help before eventually driving away to an emergency room nearby.

ABC-7 has learned there is an urgent care clinic/ER right next to the Howdy’s at McCombs and U.S. 54.

Police have not confirmed the information from the witness.
