New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez injured in skiing accident

New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez released a statement that said she was injured in a skiing accident on Sunday.

Martinez and other state governors went skiing together at a resort near Salt Lake City.

She was there to attend the Republican Governors Association (RGA) over the weekend.

Martinez was elected a chairperson for the RGA.

Governor Martinez released the following statement:

“On Sunday during some downtime, I hit the slopes and took a spill. I’m getting my knee checked out in the coming days. But all is well. I thought I was a pretty decent skier, but there aren’t too many slopes in southern New Mexico.”
