Streetcar project will reduce Mesa Street to one lane in each direction

Mesa Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction as part of Phase 2 of the El Paso Streetcar project.

The lane reduction, which begins Wednesday, will take place on Mesa Street at Baltimore Drive and Glory Road, in front of the Don Haskins Center.

The lane reduction will last approximately three weeks. Representatives from the El Paso Streetcar project urge driver to plan accordingly and use Stanton Street and Sun Bowl Drive alternate routes.

Crews will be laying rail over the Mesa Street intersection.
