Mother arrested, allegedly towed children in small wagon
Flabbergasted.
Lt. Scott McKee, with the Springfield Police Department, told KVAL-TV in Eugene, Oregon that’s how one of his officers felt after learning a woman allegedly drove through a busy intersection towing a small wagon tied to the back of her car.
Riding in the wagon: her two children!
27-year-old Alana Donohue was towing two of her children, ages two and four.
KVAL reports that one point, the children’s eight year-old cousin was also in the wagon – without his mother’s consent.
Police said Donohue was driving at 5 mph, but witnesses reported seesing the vehicle at move at about 30 mph, KVAL reports.
The Register Guard reports drivers said Donohue was waving at vehicles to go around her as she drove in circles in a roundabout and traffic began to back up.
Donahue faces two counts of reckless endangering, the Register Guard reports.
