EL DIARIO: 13 tons of Marijuana confiscated

The Diario de Juarez and Reforma are reporting the confiscation of more than 13 tons of marijuana in Tijuana over the past week.

The newspaper says Baja California state police, along with members of the Mexican army, carried out several narcotics raids throughout the border city.

The largest bust was carried out Tuesday when state police, backed by Mexican soldiers, raided a home and found 10 tons of marijuana wrapped inside more than 900 plastic wrapped packets.

Last Friday, police found another 2 tons of marijuana inside a cargo van, the driver and 3 others were arrested.
