7-year-old boy hospitalized after near-drowning at Eastside motel

A child has been hospitalized following a near-drowning Saturday at an Eastside motel.

Police tell ABC-7 a 7-year-old boy was found unresponsive at the La Quinta Inn on the 7900 block of Gateway East shortly after 3:30 P.M.

When first responders arrived, bystanders were giving the boy CPR. Police say the boy was revived but taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
