El Paso man charged with 7th DWI fell asleep at the wheel, police say
Police officers assigned to the department’s DWI Task Force arrested and charged a man with Driving While Intoxicated (3rd or More).
56-year-old Quirino Ramirez Salgado allegedly fell asleep at the wheel Sunday morning in the 2400 block of Byron.
Salgado, driving a 2003 Ford Taurus, was located by firefighters, who later called police.
Police said Salgado had six previous convictions for DWI. He was booked into the county jail on a $10,000 bond.
