Police charge El Paso man with aggravated sexual assault of a child

Investigators with the police department’s Crimes Against Children Unit arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting underage female victims.

Oscar Urunga, 49, is charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child/Sexual Contact.

Urunga was arrested Thursday, September 14, 2017.

Police said the alleged sexual assaults happened in between June 2016 and March 2017.

“Urunga committed the listed offenses to the victims (females),” police said in a news release.

Investigators did not say how many victims came forward to accuse Urunga or how old each one of the victims is.

Urunga was located on the 900 block of Raynor, police said.

He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds totaling $100,000.
