TABC will not investigate bar shooting in central

The Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission told ABC-7 it will not investigate a central El Paso bar where a shooting happened Sunday.

Police said multiple shots were fired around 4 a.m. at Nu Beginnings, located on the 4800 block of Dyer Street.

TABC said the bar has no liquor license on record, and has a “bring your own bottle” policy.

The commission said unless it receives a complaint about selling alcohol without a license, which it said it has not, no investigation is necessary.

At the scene of the shooting, investigators told our Round the Clock crew a group of people took the man who was shot to the hospital, and he had life-threatening injuries.

A Facebook flyer appears to show an affiliation with The Chill Spot, a location where another shooting happened in November 2016.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the police.

No arrests have been made.
