Update: Elderly homeless man stabbed in West El Paso

An elderly homeless man was stabbed in the head and neck overnight in West El Paso.

The 74-year-old told El Paso police he was sleeping at a storage locker facility on the 400 block of Executive when a man and a woman approached him.

The woman was armed with a knife, he said.

At one point, he told police, the man took the knife from the woman and stabbed him, then they both ran away.

The wounded man was found by a security guard, police said.

He was taken to University Medical Center. Emergency responders told ABC-7’s ‘Round the Clock crew the person received serious injuries.

Our Round the Clock crew saw police, fire crews and an ambulance responding to the possible stabbing around 4 a.m., near Mesa Street and Executive Center Boulevard, approaching I-10.
