Villages Vibes Music Festival held this weekend

The Village Vibes Music Festival will be held this weekend, in support of the Vinton Community Garden.

The festival will be held Saturday, September 30th from 2:00 P.M. to midnight at Dr. Applegate Park on 7966 Quejette Road, in Vinton, Texas.

The Village of Vinton will work with Keep Vinton Beautiful and other community partners to help support the community garden site preparation projects scheduled for spring of 2018. Funds will help the community garden and learning center help residents access fresh, locally sourced produce and allows local farmers to help educate local residents and elementary students.

Festival goers can expect to find live music, food trucks, vendors and a family entertainment area.

The festival will be headlined by Latin Grammy nominee “The Chamanas” and will feature 18 local bands including Ribo Flavin, Brandon Bailey Johnson and Hypnosis.

Live music will start at 3:00pm. Children 4 and under are free, tickets can be purchased here. The first 100 guests will receive a free goody bag courtesy of Keep Vinton Beautiful.

Other entertainment includes inflatable slides, chalk and coloring activities, live art including a chalk mural, body marbling and a henna tattoo artist.

A “sunset selfie frame” will also be available, where families, couples and groups can take a picture under. The piece will feature two murals and will be relocated to the community garden site upon completion.
