Stand With Estela: Highlighting women in our community
ABC-7 is beginning a series highlighting women in our community who are on a cancer journey or are somehow connected with someone who is.
The tango community with Dance Works wanted to support Estela Casas and her cancer foundation Stand With Estela. They threw her a pink milonga, an Argentinian dance that uses the same basic elements as tango. Everyone wore something pink and pinned money to a corset that was donated to Estela.
Together, they raised $120.
The Stand with Estela Fund will help provide cancer support services to benefit women of limited means who are battling breast cancer. Donors can also choose to earmark their donation toward research.
