Mexican Media: 15 people killed in Juarez Thursday and Friday
News media in Ciudad Juarez is reporting that 15 people were killed in separate incidents around the city Thursday and Friday. Most were shootings and some happened within a two-hour period.
Authorities told El Diario de Juarez that a group of armed men shot at four men inside an auto repair shop. It happened at around 7 p.m. on Bernardo Norzagaray y Manuel L. Prieto, in the southern part of the city near Blvd Zaragoza. Three of them died at the scene and another one later died from his injuries.
Farther southeast in Juarez, a 15-year-old was shot and killed with a 9 mm gun on the intersection of Janos and Jumanos. It happened at about the same time as the previous incident.
At about 8 p.m., three men were shot and killed inside a car at a home garage. This happened near the intersection of Portal de Cibeles and Romacoi, also in southern part of Juarez.
Three women were killed inside a home on Los Aztecas and Blvd Zaragoza in southwest Juarez. A man was injured, but survived. It happened at around 8:30 p.m.
Almost at the same time, a person was shot and killed on Ecatepec and General Trevino in west Juarez.
A few blocks away from that, a man was shot on the street at the intersection of Huitzoco and Zumpango.
Earlier that morning, a person found the body of a man and reported it to authorities. Police told El Diario he died after being beat up. It happened close to the Chamizal park near the border.
Close to noon, a group of people entered a home and shot and killed a man. It happened on the intersections of Guillermo Villalobos y Puerto Alicante, in the far southeastern part of Juarez.
