EPPD: Couple rob West EP 7-11 at gunpoint, use money at 7-11 in Central EP

Police arrested a couple accused in the armed robbery of the 7-11 store on the 6500 block of Escondido in West El Paso.

The robbery was reported January 16, 2018 at about 4:11 am, police said.

Theodore Habib Ayoub, 21, allegedly entered the store with a shotgun and demanded money and cigarettes from the store clerk.

Ayoub allegedly fled in a vehicle allegedly driven by 18-year-old Jordan Nicole Contreras.

Police said, that about 40 minutes later, police officers responded to the 7-11 at 4413 Dyer and learned a man and a woman had made a purchase using stolen money from the store that had been robbed on the Westside.

Investigators were able to identify the suspects, later located and arrested after leaving a residence in West El Paso.

An investigation revealed Contreras was the driver of the getaway car used to driver Ayoub to and from the robbery.

Police booked Ayoub and Contreras into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Aggravated Robbery.

Ayoub’s bond was set at $100,000 and Contreras’s bond was set at $50,000.
