Semi-truck hits overpass in Fabens, shuts down portion of I-10

A semi-truck hit an overpass in Fabens shutting down a small portion of Interstate 10 westbound and the overpass, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened around 10 a.m. Thursday, but no injuries were reported.

All westbound traffic was being forced to exit at Fabens and use the gateway to re-enter the interstate.

Authorities recommended avoiding the area until it reopens, which is expected around 6 a.m. on Friday.
