REPORT: U.S. happiness rank drops from last year
The United Nations’ 2018 World Happiness Report listed the United States as being less happy than the year prior.
In 2017, the U.S. ranked No. 14, but this year the country has fallen to No. 18. due to reasons such as social support, economy, government and work.
According to “Fast Company,” 3,000 respondents in 156 countries were asked to rank their lives on a scale from one to 10, one being unhappy.
The data, which was overseen by academics and Gallup polls, showed that Americans responded with an average of 6.8.
Topping the list again: Finland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, and Switzerland.
Canada ranked in at No. 7, and Mexico at No. 24.
The least happy country in the world according to the survey is Burundi.
