Chihuahuas beat Las Vegas, complete perfect road trip with 7th straight win
The El Paso Chihuahuas have now won seven straight games after beating Las Vegas 6-3 Monday night.
All seven of those wins came on the road.
The Chihuahuas entered the top of the third trailing 1-0 but got three RBI doubles to take a 3-1 lead.
Travis Jankowski added a two-run homer in the top of the 5th to give the Chihuahuas a 5-1 lead. Javy Guerra recorded a solo shot of his own in the top of the ninth that gave El Paso a 6-2 lead.
The 51s managed to get a run back in the bottom half of the ninth but could not complete the comeback.
The Chihuahuas improved to 14-5 on the year with the win while Las Vegas fell to 5-14.
El Paso will get a quick break with an off-day Tuesday before returning home to begin a new five-game series against Salt Lake on Wednesday.
