Aaron Jones graduates from UTEP
El Paso’s own Aaron Jones is many things.
He’s a former UTEP running back and he’s currently the running back for the Green Bay Packers.
Now, Jones is a UTEP graduate.
Saturday, Jones got his degree in multidisciplinary studies.
As he walked the stage during the graduation ceremony, Jones showed off his Packers’ jersey that he was wearing underneath his gown.
Jones said the reason he wanted to graduate from UTEP was to fufill a promise he made to his parents.
“I promised my parents before I declared early for the draft that I would come back and get my degree,” Jones said. “I had to uphold my promise. Education is everything, football only lasts so long.”
