Passenger trains strikes, kills pedestrian in Lower Valley

An Amtrak tain struck and killed a pedestrian about 4:30 p.m. Saturday the Lower Valley, police said.

The man was trying to cross the tracks when he was hit near Pendale Road and Roseway Drive.

The victim, who has not been identified, died at the scene.

A 28-year-old man was struck and killed by a train about 5 p.m. June 1 near the 7900 block of Alameda Ave., and a 52-year-old woman was in a car hit by a train June 3 on San Elizario road. She died from her injuries.
