EL PASO, Texas -- Five months after the horrific mass shooting in El Paso, ABC-7 has obtained new video of the so-called mystery man walking out of the Cielo Vista Walmart store with a baby in his arms - a baby that authorities said was saved by the mystery man's brave actions during the shooting.

In the new video, the mystery man is shown carrying the baby to an approaching officer. But a police spokesman tells ABC-7 that authorities still have not been able to follow-up with the unidentified man about the events of that fateful morning.

It's the second video ABC-7 has aired in recent months as police seek out the man that officers and the baby's relatives have called heroic.

Sadly, both of the baby's parents, Jordan and Andre Anchondo, died in that horrible tragedy – but the baby, Paul Gilbert Anchondo, was unhurt.

ABC-7's Saul Saenz has spoken to the mystery man face to face twice and once on the phone; he does not want his identity used and simply goes by the name “Geronimo.”

"Geronimo" repeatedly said he does not want to come forward because he has trust issues – and does not want what happened to Christopher Grant to happen to him.

Grant, who was shot and injured in the Aug. 3 mass attack, was initially hailed a hero when he claimed he tossed soda cans at the shooter to distract him. Police later discredited his story and Grant stopped giving interviews.

On two different instances, “Geronimo” had agreed to an interview but then he failed to show up at the ABC-7 studios either time.
