Memorial service set for Border Patrol dog killed last month in northeast El Paso raid
EL PASO, Texas -- The El Paso sector of the U.S. Border Patrol is preparing to bury one of their own, a police dog killed in the line of duty.
The memorial service for “K9 Agent Bulder” is tentatively scheduled for the morning of Jan. 15 at the Abundant Living Faith Center in west El Paso. A time has not been set yet.
Bulder, a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois, was shot during a confrontation when law enforcement officers from multiple agencies attempted to serve a search warrant and arrest 62-year-old Paul Jarvis at his northeast El Paso home last month.
Authorities said Jarvis shot and killed Bulder before agents returned fire and killed Jarvis.
Authorities believe Jarvis was manufacturing illegal weapons that were being sold in Juarez.
