Wanted sex offender in custody after surrendering to deputies

A wanted sex offender has surrendered himself to deputies, following a request by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office for the publics help in locating the suspect.

As of Tuesday, July 31st, Alejandro Sanchez is in custody and has been booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility following his surrender.

On Thursday, July 26th, Sanchez cut off his monitor and avoided the detection of authorities while leaving the El Paso Transitional Living Center. Immediately after realizing he was gone, Sanchez was wanted by the Sheriff’s Office for parole violation, while an additional charge of sex offenders duty to register is also coming.

Sanchez was on parole for sexual assault of a child, which was committed against an 8 year old female victim.
