BREAKING: Police investigate west El Paso shooting

UPDATE:

This morning El Paso police responded to a shots fired call near Franklin High School. When officers arrived, they say a man was found dead. Police are telling ABC 7 that it appears to be a suicide. We don’t normally report on suicides but we are in this case because of the location of where it happened.

The call came down at around 8 o’clock in the morning at the 700 block of Redd Road in West El Paso, near Franklin High School. Police say the man was found dead on the sidewalk outside of a home, they say it appears that the man shot himself.

Police are investigating a shooting in west El Paso Saturday morning.Emergency responders told ABC-7 one person died in the incident.

Red and yellow caution tape was put up near Redd Road and Mc Veigh Drive, right across from Franklin High School.

ABC-7 crews are on the scene, waiting for more details from police.
