Sunland Park Stampede Meat, Inc. holding job fair throughout New Mexico
Sunland Park Stampede Meat, Inc. will be opening their plant in late October at the former Tyson Food processing facility in Sunland Park, New Mexico, and the opening of their premiere showroom will help bring 385 jobs to the community. They plan to expand their operations and employ nearly 1,300 workers within the next five to seven years.
Stampede was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Bridgeview, Illinois. It processes and distributes portioned, marinated and cooked beef, chicken, and other protein products for restaurants, retail, home delivery and other channels.
“We are very pleased to invest in Sunland Park,” said Brock Furlong, CEO of Stampede Meat. “We look forward to expanding our workforce to continue to provide quality products for our customers.”
The City of Sunland Park has joined forces with Doña Ana County to inform as many residents about these jobs.
“Our goal in holding these town hall meetings at Community Resource Centers throughout the County is to make New Mexico residents aware of these jobs and to encourage them to apply.” Said Sunland Park City Manager, Julia Brown.
