Dr. Laurance Nickey dies at age 87
Prominent El Paso Doctor Laurance Nickey has died, according to an obituary published in the El Paso Times Thursday.
Dr. Nickey died on Tuesday at the age of 87.
He spent more than 20 years as a pediatrician in a private practice before becoming the Director of Health for El Paso County and City.
Dr. Nickey is survived by his wife Jan, their seven children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
