More than 2,700 without power in Northeast El Paso

A power outage affected more than 2,700 customers Thursday morning in Northeast El Paso.

El Paso Electric said it was reported at 7:25 a.m. in the area near Loop 375 and U.S. 54.

The outage was caused by a bird that somehow damaged some electrical equipment, according to El Paso Electric.

Power is expected to be restored at around 8:30 a.m.
