Police looking for mystery woman who rang doorbells, then disappeared

Police are searching for a mystery woman who rang the doorbell of several homes in the middle of the night.

The woman, captured on surveillance footage, was partially dressed and wearing what appeared to be broken restraints on both wrists.

Investigators say she rang the doorbell in the Sunrise Ranch area of Montgomery, Texas. The woman can be seen emerging from behind a bush next to the house, barefoot and wearing only a T-shirt and unknown items dangling from both of her wrists.

The woman walks to the front of the house and rings the doorbell.

A resident who spoke with ABC News said the woman had rung the doorbell of several different neighbors, but by the time they answered their doors, she had disappeared.

ABC News reports law enforcement canvassed the neighborhood, conducted a door-to-door check interviewing residents, and is currently reviewing surveillance camera footage from the area.

“Numerous citizens in the state and outside have sent missing persons flyers suggesting the women in the video is a missing person from their area,” the Sheriff’s Office added. “Deputies and Detectives are reviewing these flyers for any similarities, but as of now none are believed to be the women in the video.”
