Ted Cruz set to visit El Paso Saturday ahead of senate debate
Republican Senator Ted Cruz, seeking reelection against Beto O’Rourke, will be visiting El Paso Saturday evening.
Cruz will be speaking at 8:30 p.m. at Franklin High School gym, along with a member of the Texas Narcotics Officers association, a former DEA agent.
The visit comes ahead of a debate between the candidates Tuesday in San Antonio at 7:00 p.m. moutain time.
Protesters confronted Cruz at a Border Patrol Union meeting last year, a crowd forming to chant against the conservative senator for Texas.
A ticket and ID will be required to enter. The El Paso County Republican party says that the rally is already sold out.
Election day is Tuesday, November 6.
