EPPD: Teen points gun and demands pills and cash during drug deal in east El Paso

The El Paso Police Department’s Pebble Hills Tactical unit has arrested and charged 19-year-old Andrew Julian Esparza in connection with an aggravated robbery that happened Tuesday on the 12300 block of Robert Dahl.

According to police, Esparza pointed a handgun at a victim during a drug deal at the home. He then demanded pills and cash. Esparza took the items and then fled the scene.

Tactical investigators identified Esparza as the individual responsible for the aggravated robbery and secured an arrest warrant.

Esparza was taken into custody on Wednesday and booked for the offense of aggravated robbery with a bond set at $100,000.00.

The investigation continues.
