Locomotive still seeking first win in franchise history
El Paso Locomotive FC hopes the fourth time is the charm.
The club will seek the first win in franchise history Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in a match against Orange County SC at Southwest University Park.
The contest will also be broadcast live on the El Paso-Las Cruces CW.
The Locomotive came painfully close to securing a win in their last match, but they allowed a pair of late goals to Rio Grande Valley FC and had to settle for their second consecutive draw. In addition to the two draws, the club also lost its opener 3-1 against OKC Energy FC.
The Locomotive are currently sitting in 14th place out of 18 teams in the USL Western Conference standings.
Orange County SC will enter Saturday’s game with the exact same record as the Locomotive having drawn twice and lost once.
In other news, Locomotive Midfielder Nick Ross was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, becoming the first member of the club to receive that honor after tallying a goal and an assist against Rio Grande Valley FC.
After Saturday’s game against Orange County SC, the Locomotive will have a two-week break before returning to action at home on April 13 against Phoenix Rising FC.
