Driver taken to hospital with serious injuries after crashing into church

El Paso Police are saying a Special Traffic Investigators unit responded to a car accident in northeast El Paso. The accident involved one vehicle.

Police said the driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after crashing into a building on the 5200 block of Tetons near Mt. Shasta Drive around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

An ABC-7 crew went to the scene and saw the building was New Testament Christian Church.

Police said the scene is now cleared.
