The El Paso Locomotive FC went head to head with the Austin Bold FC

The fledgling football club, El Paso Locomotive FC is in search of their second win in their existence.

They headed out to the state capital to take on the Austin Bold FC.

Both teams have similar records. The Locomotive FC at 1-2-2 and the Bold FC at 2-1-2.

The first half went back and forth, both teams putting themsleves in scoring positions only to have a stout defense step up.

22 minutes in Omar Salgado chased a ball down the left sideline looking to make something happen. Before he could create an opportunity a Bold defender came in with a perfect slide tackle to block the cross.

That was fortunate for Bold FC because their was a Locomotive waiting on the other end of that pass.

In the second half the Locomotive had another opportunity. El Paso had a free kick just out side the goal box in the 50th minute. Hoping to catch Austin sleeping, Sebastion Contreras took a quick shot that missed the left upper v by inches.

After two halves of play though no one had scored.

Both teams walk away with the draw.

The El Paso Locomotive will take on Reno 1868 FC next weekend at Southwest University Park.
