Madeline Ottilie

Madeline Ottilie is new to the Borderland, joining the ABC-7 team as a Good Morning El Paso reporter and co-anchor and producer of ABC-7 at noon.

Madeline comes to El Paso from Los Angeles, where she graduated Magna cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Broadcast and Digital Journalism degree.

While at USC, Madeline reported on the ground during the 2018 California wildfires, the national college admissions bribery scandal, the murder of Nipsey Hussle and from California Governor Gavin Newsom’s campaign headquarters on election night. Madeline’s work has aired on Spectrum News 1 in Los Angeles. Her work placed her among the top 15 in the country in two categories in the Hearst Journalism Awards.

Madeline has worked as an intern for KNSD-TV in San Diego, as well as NBC’s TODAY Show and CBS This Morning.

She was born and raised in San Diego, California. She loves to spend time outdoors, hiking and biking, and of course, hunting for good Mexican food!

Madeline is also a former college athlete, a coxswain on USC’s rowing team! That’s the smallest athlete in the boat and the only one not rowing. They’re responsible for steering and controlling the rowers’ moves and rhythm!

Madeline loves to explore and she can’t wait to experience new things in El Paso. Feel free to drop Madeline a note by email or social media to share story ideas, El Paso taco shops or just say to say hi and introduce yourself!
