Cause unknown for Friday night power outage that impacted 6,000 in east El Paso

Roughly 6,000 people were without power for a portion of Friday night due to an El Paso Electric outage.

That outage happened in far east El Paso, impacting the customers in the 79936 zip code.

A utility spokesperson told ABC-7 the cause of the outage was unknown, but crews had restored power to affected customers as of 9:35 p.m.
