El Paso police motorcycle officer hurt in collision off of I-10 east exit at downtown
An El Paso motorcycle officer was injured in a collision around noon Tuesday that prompted authorities to briefly close the Interstate 10 eastbound exit to downtown.
The officer was hit by a vehicle at Wyoming and Santa Fe near the Courtyard Marriott hotel, according to police. He was taken to Las Palmas hospital with minor injuries.
The injured officer’s identity was not released.
Police accident investigators were looking into exactly what happened.
