Snow hits the Borderland: Video, photo gallery & snow totals

EL PASO, Texas -- The Borderland was covered with snow as people woke up Wednesday morning. ABC-7 warned viewers in advance about the winter storm by issuing a First Alert.

Officially 2.0" of snow was reported at the El Paso International Airport. The National Weather Service said trained weather spotters reported 0.8" of snow in northeast Las Cruces, 4.0" in east El Paso, 3.6" in northeast El Paso and 1.5" in Alamogordo. A foot of snow clobbered both Ruidoso and Cloudcroft.
