LAS CRUCES, New Mexico -- A crash involving a semi-truck and a minivan injured a motorist and snarled traffic at the interchange of Interstate 25 and Interstate 10 early Thursday afternoon.

The 12:20 p.m. crash resulted in the closure of the I-25 southbound loop to I-10 westbound until about 2 p.m.

New Mexico State Police said a minivan cut in front of a tractor-trailer rig, triggering the crash.

The woman who was driving that minivan was injured and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, but there was no immediate word on her condition.

The driver of the truck was unhurt, state police said.
