Texas Tech regents discuss continuation of ‘essential’ operations amid pandemic

LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents met during a special teleconference meeting Monday afternoon.

This meeting came as the entire Tech system and all of its campuses, including Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, were closed for normal operations in an attempt to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

During the meeting, the board discussed items related to coronavirus and ways to maintain necessary and essential operations under what university officials called "extraordinary circumstances."
